WH Skinner can custom cut your sheet materials and printed sheets to any shape or size within reason.
If you have the knowledge and software you can provide the cutting path and we will do the rest of the job. With our custom cutting service, if you’re struggling to provide a cutting path we can draw it for you and provide you with a proof or digitally cut sample before processing the job.
If you draw your own cutting path, don’t forget to factor in the strength of the material left behind. Ensure the path is not overly complex for the material and size of the cutting knife. For example, the level of detail which can be achieved with laser cutting cannot be achieved with knife cutting. We will be happy to offer advice upon receipt of your cut path files. We offer accurate digital cutting and creasing (and scoring) for the materials listed on the right, but this list is not exhaustive and we’ll happily perform tests on other materials for you.
Our custom cutting service is completely bespoke to you and your requirements. Generally our lead times are from a couple of days up to a week or so but in the past, with particularly critical jobs our clients have arrived with a van full of printed sheets and we’ve cut while the delivery driver waits. We can even arrange bubble wrapping; custom sized outer boxes, assembly, fulfilment, packing and direct delivery to your customers if required.
As a custom cutting specialist we’re well practiced in die cutting corrugated cardboard – it’s our favourite material. However, we also regularly cut display board, folding box board (FBB) and Correx. If you have another material to be die cut, just let us know – we’re happy to run tests for you.
DXF – a CAD data file format developed by Autodesk for enabling data exchange between AutoCAD and other programs.
