Strong Influencer Gift Boxes

The first thing we consider when designing an influencer box is that your products or box contents arrive safely, with zero damage.

Depending on the weight, size, transportation method and final delivery address of your influencer boxes, we may use different board thicknesses, box construction methods, etc. to ensure the influencer box is strong enough to survive miss-handling and lengthy journeys around global transportation systems.

If your box contents are smaller or lightweight they may be suitable for posting through letterboxes, and not require extra strength. Your budget may dictate the size of the packaging – for example fitting within maximum dimensions such as Royal Mail Small Parcel or similar. All of this will be discussed and taken into account before the influencer box design process is begun.

Documenting the Unboxing Experience

When your influencer box arrives with the recipient, the unboxing process will begin. This needs to be as easy and frustration-free as possible. Ideally, your recipient will want to document the unboxing process either with photographs or even video. A well-designed influencer box will unveil the box contents in a considered way – for example in an order which makes sense, or tells a story.

The most valuable, important, surprising or exclusive item or message could be revealed last. We recommend sending the influencer box in a strong outer package to ensure the main box still looks photogenic and like new if your think the unboxing experience will be documented.

Don’t Forget Sustainability – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Working with WH Skinner is already a step in the right direction when it comes to sustainability. Environmental awareness has been at the heart of our company ethos from the very beginning. As part of the paper packaging industry, which has had an excellent reputation for recycling and fantastic environmental credentials for decades, WH Skinner has always strived to do even more. Consider making your influencer boxes reusable. If the graphic design is right, and the shape and style of the box suitable, the recipient may keep the box for long term storage of papers and documents, or other trinkets.

Your custom-designed influencer box will be made from corrugated cardboard (itself made from recycled paper), which is easy to dispose of – it will go with regular paper household recycling. When we design your influencer box with custom inserts, there will be no need to use other packaging materials such as bubble wrap, tissue paper or other single-use void fillers.

Corrugated Cardboard Recycling and Landfill Prevention

Customers and consumers are now demanding action on your part to ensure your products are safely packaged in sustainable materials. Corrugated cardboard has excellent environmental credentials, from manufacturing through to use and eventual disposal. The manufacturing process of corrugated cardboard has a lower environmental impact – with `up to 60% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions versus other materials. Corrugated cardboard has the best recycling rate of all packaging materials – it’s recyclability is widely known about – meaning that over 80% of corrugated cardboard is recycled back into the system. Single Wall and Double Wall Flutes

Corrugated cardboard is a sustainable and recyclable material which is both lightweight and extremely strong. Depending on the thickness of the corrugations and finish of the liner board, corrugated card can be elegant, strong, and long lasting. Corrugated cardboard can be used for boxes and displays but also furniture, exhibitions, games and art.
E flute is mainly used for inner containers, presentation boxes and smaller countertop displays. Double wall corrugated cardboard such as EE or EB is used where box strength is important, or for free standing displays and dump bins. Single wall corrugated cardboard such as B or C flute is generally reserved for economical outer boxes and cartons. BC flute is used for more demanding applications.

Corrugated Cardboard

All the benefits of corrugated cardboard but with the added convenience of rigidity in sheet form. This material is ideal for use in cardboard furniture, exhibition and semi-permanent displays. It can also be used as packing material for fragile items.

Display board is a solid board without corrugations and is generally used for high-end displays, and in places where curves are desired such as elliptical towers or round displays. It is often used as a cladding material, where the strength and rigidity of a display will come from the corrugated cardboard components inside. Display board offers excellent print finish and a long-lasting high quality surface.

Display Cardboard

Ideal for use where cardboard is not suitable, UV-stable Correx can be used outdoors, in wet weather conditions, can be washed clean, and can be printed as usual. Commonly used for displays in garden centres and DIY stores.

Correx Cardboard

Extremely light weight and very rigid, foam board is ideal for hanging display boards. It has a very smooth surface for high print quality. 

Foamex is a solid plastic sheet material which has excellent longevity. Frequently this material is used for outdoor signage and has a good appearance once printed. Occasionally, Foamex is used for indoor displays where complex and detailed cut-outs reduce the strength of cardboard i.e. standees.

Foamex

Predominantly, transparent polypropylene sheeting is used for producing mop trays, which are waterproof trays to fit around the base of a corrugated cardboard display. Once fitted, the floor can be mopped as usual without the need to move the display to a dry area.
